Some of our members are very passionate about charity and are on a mission to live and breath the mantra "Charity begins at home !!".
After months of lobbying by these dedicated members on the 6th of February the Australian Red Cross launched the Zimbabwe Crisis Appeal 2009.

The funds raised from the walk and our online fundraising on www.everydayhero.com.au/zim_crisis and www.everydayhero.com.au/skyrmejones brings our total to just over $9300.
We would like to thank everyone of you for getting involved in this and for giving your time, money and energy. This simple thank you is probably not enough considering the enormous effort shown by you all to drive this from scratch to achieving what we have achieved so far. But we take comfort from knowing that we did this for a good cause. If the time and energy we spend is going to bring hope to a few people, then it was not all in vain.
This brings to an end our campaign. The Red Cross have indicated their willingness to work with with the Zimbabwean community in future.
